Fan retargeting explained and how Bandsintown made it easier to sell more tickets
If you are not using retargeting, you are missing an effective way to reach your most interested fans. To take advantage of this powerful strategy, keep reading:
What is retargeting?
Retargeting is an online ad strategy that uses small snippets of code called tracking pixels to re-engage visitors who left a page with or without performing a specific action, like signing up for emails or clicking to buy a ticket.
Because they have already visited the page, these fans and potential fans have shown real interest which retargeting then amplifies by reengaging with them.
Bandsintown helps sell more tickets
Bandsintown was built to help connect fans with artists around live music as well as to help those artists grow their fanbase and sell more tickets, merch, and music.
By adding built-in retargeting to every artist’s Events Promotion page, Bandsintown made it easier to reach the right fans and sell more tickets.
To keep the process as simple as possible, Bandsintown has embedded code for the most popular Tracking Pixels (Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Google Ads) on each artist’s Events Promotion page.
Just grab the Pixel ID for one of the platforms above and copy-paste it on the specific field under the Retargeting section on the artist’s Events Promotion in the free Bandsintown For Artists platform.
For example, the Facebook Pixel is a piece of code placed on the Events Promotion Page that collects data from Facebook visitors that land on this page.
The data collected can then be used to build targeted audiences for ads and re-engage fans that have already expressed interest.
