Posting Your Events Promotion Page on Socials & Online

Here is our online and social media how to guide for your Events Promotion Page.  This breaks down how you can share on each and every social including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, SoundCloud, and of course on your Website.

Instagram

  1. Copy the short URL by clicking on the green button

  2. On your Instagram account, tap your profile photo to add a new story. Paste the short URL and edit as you’d like. After pressing the ‘Send To’ button, choose ‘Your Story’ and then ‘Add to Highlights’. Name your highlight (e.g. Tour Dates) and you’re set with a permanent link to your promo page.

  1. Copy the short URL by clicking on the green button.

  2. Instagram allows a limited number of ‘Highlights’, so if you don’t have any more space to create a new one with your tour dates, here’s another option. On your Instagram account, click on the icon at the bottom right corner to edit your profile. After that, in the ’Bio’ section, paste the link with a caption that describes what it is (e.g. Click here to check all tour dates!). Press ‘Save’ and you are all set with a permanent link to your tour dates on your bio.

  1. Copy the short URL by clicking on the green button.

  2. If your Instagram account has more than 10,000 followers, you can add the short URL as a ‘Swipe Up’ feature. Here’s how to do it: tap your profile photo to add a new story. Paste the short URL and edit as you’d like. Click on the link icon on top of the right-hand side of the screen. A new window will appear that will allow you to paste a link of your choice. Paste the short URL and then press ‘Done’.

Facebook

  1. Click on the Facebook icon on the popup window. It will redirect you to the Facebook account you have linked with your Bandsintown account. If you don’t have any, it will redirect you to the Login page.

  2. On your Facebook account, click on the ‘Create Post’ box, at the top of the page. Paste the short URL (Facebook will generate a preview of the link). You can post as a normal post on your News Feed and/or as a Story. Whenever your fans click on the image, they will be redirected to the promo page.

  1. Click on the Facebook icon on the popup window. It will redirect you to the Facebook account you have linked with your Bandsintown account. If you don’t have any, it will redirect you to the Login page.

  2. On your Facebook account, click on the ‘Intro’ box, on the left-side menu. Paste the short URL with a caption that describes what it is (e.g. Click here to check all tour dates!). Press ‘Save’ and you are all set with a permanent link to your tour dates on your bio.

Twitter

  1. Click on the Twitter icon on the popup window. It will redirect you to the Twitter account you have linked with your Bandsintown account. If you don’t have any, it will redirect you to the Login page.

  2. On your Twitter account, click on the ‘What’s happening?’ box, at the top of the page. Paste the short URL (Twitter will generate a preview of the link). You can post as a normal post on your News Feed and/or as a Story. Whenever your fans click on the image, they will be redirected to the promo page.

  1. Click on the Twitter icon on the popup window. It will redirect you to the Twitter account you have linked with your Bandsintown account. If you don’t have any, it will redirect you to the Login page.

  2. On your Twitter account, click on the ‘Profile’ button at the left-side menu. After that, click on the ‘Edit Profile’ button, under your header. Paste the short URL with a caption that describes what it is (e.g. Click here to check all tour dates!). Press ‘Save’ and you are all set with a permanent link to your tour dates on your bio.

YouTube

  1. Copy the short URL by clicking on the green button.

  2. On your YouTube channel account, click on the ‘Customize Channel’ button on the top-right corner of the page. You can add the short URL in your Description section, and/or as a link, (that you can name ’Tour Dates’, for example).

Linktree

  1. Copy the short URL by clicking on the green button.

  2. On your Linktree account, click on the ‘Add New Link’ button, at the top of the page. Paste the short URL and add a title (e.g. Tour Dates). After switching the button to enable the new button, you will see a preview on your right.

To Your Website

  1. Copy the short URL by clicking on the green button.

  2. On your website builder (Squarespace, WordPress, Wix, Weebly, or any other) add a button or a drop-down menu, with the short URL. This will enable a direct link to your promo page, making it easier for fans to know when and where you’re performing next and to buy your tickets. 

To Any Platform Online - SoundCloud, etc.

  1. Copy the short URL by clicking on the green button.

  2. You can add the short URL to your bio on any account you have (in this example, we’re using SoundCloud). Click on your profile photo at the top of the page, and then on ‘Profile’. Tap on the ‘Edit’ button below your header. You can add the short URL in your bio section, and/or as a link, (that you can name ’Tour Dates’, for example).

QR Code

  1. Download the QR code by clicking on the QR code button.

  2. Any fan who reads the QR Code with their mobile device will get to see the auto-generated Events Promotion Page with all of their upcoming events, where they can buy tickets, RSVP, and track them on Bandsintown.
