Best Concerts of 2019 - From Bandsintown Team Members

This year held some incredible concerts. The team here at Bandsintown is chock full of concert lovers. We’re excited to share with you some of their favorite live music moments of 2019.

Alexis Jenkins - Artist and Fan Support

The best live concert I went to in 2019 was Ludo. The band has been broken up for a while but they decided to have a huge Halloween concert themed like a Prom. We went to a sing-along and meet and greet before the show and the show itself was incredible, like a concert and a play mixed together! We flew all the way to St. Louis for the event!

Ava Palazzo - Director Of Ad Ops

I saw Lana Del Rey at Jones Beach and it was absolutely amazing. She sounded just as good in person as she does on her records and the venue was perfect for her aesthetic. It was so cool to see her on a warm late summer night with the waves behind her, and while I was up front, the venue also had video screens so even if you were further back you felt like you were still close.

Bruce Houghton - Hypebot and MusicThinkTank

My favorite live concert of 2019 was Al Green at the historic Fox Theatre. It was a rare tour by the soul legend and it was if both he and the audience knew this might be they spent time together. Transcendent.

Christina Businsky - Account Executive

I couldn't choose just one. The Milk Carton Kids at Zahler Hall in Carnegie Hall. It was just two guys, two guitars, one mic in an acoustically amazing room. It was chilling to hear such full and beautiful sounds from such a minimal set up. I had waited 9 months for this show and it was well worth the wait. Blink-182 at St. Vitus (about a 300 cap room). I saw Blink a few months earlier at Warped Tour in AC and it was unbelievable to see them in such a small room, surround be the most hard-core fans.  PUP at Terminal 5. I really needed a fun show that night and I was surrounded by a community of people losing their minds over this band. I didn't have a care in the world except for being present and screaming my pop punk heart out. Bowling for Soup in their home town of Dallas for their 25th year anniversary. Again, a big part of it was being with the community of people that this band has built over the years. Getting to hang out with fans from all over the world, all coming together for this one band. Plus singing BFS karaoke with the lead singer was a highlight of the weekend!

Fabrice Sergent - Co-founder and Managing Partner

Soul Clap at Madame Siam in Los Angeles.

Florence Ciredeck - Group Controller

My favorite Live Concert 2019 was Marc Anthony at the Bell Center in Montreal. Not only he sung my favorite songs but the band and atmosphere were “electric”. The crowd was so excited and energetic, I have not experienced this in a very long time… I came out of the concert without any voice but completely energized! It is a moment that still resonates with me!

Jenny Moore - Account Manager

My favorite show of 2019 was seeing The Spice Girls in Cardiff, Wales! It was my first time overseas as an adult. (I lived in Germany as a very small kid.) It was an incredible experience overall! It was like living in a 90s dream while being in a completely different world. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Jon Ostrow - Chief Revenue Officer

Phish on my Birthday at the Nassau Coliseum. It was also my 70th Phish show! :)

Kristin Yasuda - Director Of Artist Partnerships

The best show I went to this year was Flume at the Osheaga Festival in Montreal.  It was the first time he performed his brand new set for the new album and it was such a different experience to be at a music festival in another country.

Paxton Pennington - Business Development Representative

The best show I saw in 2019 was Dead & Company in Boulder, CO for my 23rd birthday. The band started on-time but was quickly forced to leave the stage as a heavy rainstorm passed. However, as soon as the storm had successfully drenched the crowd, the band returned with their classic Cold Rain & Snow and rocked the entirety of the 3-hour setlist.

Rachel Rubin - Ads Ops Campaign Coordinator

My favorite concert of 2019 was Brandi Carlile’s sold-out show at MSG. She brought out special guests (The Highwomen including sub. by Mavis Staples) and paid tribute to Joni Mitchell with “A Case of You.” The whole arena sang along to her top hits and gave room for quiet moments and storytelling. The energy in the room was surreal. Even in a huge venue, Brandi flawlessly put on an intimate & inspirational performance - an absolutely unforgettable night!!

RJ Aylward - Android Developer

Favorite concert of the year was Penny and Sparrow at Belly Up in San Diego. They are both funny and insanely talented.
