Generating Ticket Sales on Bandsintown for Artists

Did you know that Bandsintown generates over 500,000 “buy ticket” clicks per day?* Your events can be a part of this. But only if they’re fully functional. Bandsintown for Artists makes it easy for musicians to upload and edit any of their events.

Gig details are always changing. Bandsintown makes the backend accessible anytime. You have full control over your Bandsintown account anywhere in the world, from a New York City subway platform to the Trevi Fountain.

So, You’ve Just Booked a New Gig...

Start by logging into Bandsintown for Artists and clicking on your Artist Name. Click the button in the top right corner that says “Add an Event.”

Fill in all of the information - i.e. Venue, Event Date, Event Time, Lineup, Ticket Link, etc. If you don’t have a promotional poster or graphic to use for the event, Bandsintown will automatically fill that space with your Artist Profile Photo.

If you’ve typed in your Venue Name but it is not already in the Bandsintown Database, you can either add your venue to Bandsintown or set a custom location for the event.

For “Ticket Link,” there a multiple options for the type of Tickets you’re selling (Tickets, Presale, VIP, Free, and Sold Out). Choose the appropriate option to let fans know what they’re signing up for when they click through. When and if your show sells out, switch it here.

 

When you’ve filled out all of the information, click “Save” to publish the Event to your Bandsintown page, or “Save as draft” to publish later on.

But Wait, You’re Going on Tour! You Can Upload All of Your Dates Simultaneously…

If you have more than one show date, there’s no need to manually upload them all by hand. Once you’ve clicked “Add an Event,” there will be an “Upload” button on the right hand side.

Once you’re on the Upload Events page, you’ll be prompted to download a template.

Follow these instructions for how to add your events to the template. Include all of the information you can in the fields provided. All required information has an asterisk (“*”) next to it. Save your updated template to your desktop or downloads. You can either drag and drop your file into the box, or you can browse your files by clicking “select from your computer.” Click “Upload” to publish your events all at once, or “Upload as draft” to save and publish them at a later date.

Great News! One of Your Gigs Turned Into a 2-Nighter. You Can Skip Putting in the Same Information...

You can now clone events in Bandsintown for Artists! Simple and easy, everything transfers over.

Once you’ve logged in, navigate to the “Events” tab in the sidebar.

Click the three dots on the right hand side of the Event of your choosing. Click the “Clone” button.

It’s as simple as that! Everything has been copied over. You can now edit the date, lineup, time, etc. for your newly cloned event.

Hit “Save” to publish immediately, or “Save as draft” to save and publish later. These drafts will appear in the header navigation under “Draft.”
