Bandsintown LIVE Channel, WATCH LIVE Button, and Bandsintown & Twitch Partnership

Although this period of social distancing is necessary, it puts a significant strain on those whose livelihoods depend on bringing people together. And while tens of thousands of concerts have been canceled or rescheduled, here at Bandsintown, we still want them to bring music to the masses and help artists drum up some revenue in the process.

On Friday, March 20, we launched the Bandsintown LIVE channel on Twitch, with DJ and producer Black Coffee, who performed a 90-minute set that resulted in 128K live views. More than 84,500 unique viewers watched the live show (with 19,000 watching concurrently), and almost 5,000 signed up to follow the Bandsintown LIVE channel on its first day. These numbers show how fans are excited - and perhaps needing it more than ever - to watch live music  and have a great time, even from a distance.

The Bandsintown LIVE channel, the WATCH LIVE button (for artists to promote their online-streamed shows launching later this week), and the Bandsintown & Twitch partnership are some of the initiatives we’ve been working on to support musicians during these challenging times.

As always, artists can promote their live-stream events using Bandsintown’s FREE tools, as well as apply to perform on the Bandsintown LIVE Twitch channel.
