Bandsintown co-hosts Take Action Music Summit & Showcases March 11-12 during SXSW
Wanna get a leg up on 2024 and beyond?
As part of our ongoing mission to help artists build sustainable careers, we’ll be in Austin during SXSW this March 11-12, where we’ll be co-sponsoring the free Take Action Music Summit & Showcases along with the Give A Note Foundation, Artist For Artist and Artist For Action, and the Music Managers Forum.
On Tuesday, March 12 from 12:00-6:00 PM, industry experts will share proven and actionable tools, tricks, and insights for navigating the industry across several different panels and presentations curated just for artists like you.
The 35 panelists and moderators include the legendary Bootsy Collins, Mark Barden of Artist For Action and Sandy Hook Promise, Dae Bogan of the MLC, Emily White of Collective Entertainment, John Mlynczak of NAMM, Danna Droppo of Billboard, and more.
Bandsintown co-founder and Managing Partner Fabrice Sergent will host Concert Marketing & The Power of First-Party Data, examining how ever-changing algorithms, disappearing tracking cookies, and legitimate privacy concerns bring new challenges and opportunities to the fan-artist relationship. Fabrice, along with a panel of experts, will look at what’s new and what’s working in 2024 to help artists sell more tickets, merchandise, and music.
Other panels will include Amplifying Social Change Through Music, an Artist Management Master Class, Managing Your Music Licensing Portfolio, Building an Authentic Fanbase, The Future of Musical Instruments and Tech Tools, and Supporting the Next Generation of Artists.
There are simultaneous Day Party showcases on the 12th, and both nights will feature Official SXSW Showcases on two stages.
While the evening Official SXSW Showcases require an official SXSW Badge, the daytime Summit is free and open to the public with registration.
The Take Action Music Summit & Showcases will take place March 11-12 at the Mohawk Club at 912 Red River St. in Austin, Texas, during SXSW.
