Where Will My Dates Be Automatically Available Once I Upload Them To Bandsintown?

As an artist, you’re already aware that it’s important to both reach new fans and connect with existing ones in as many ways as possible. When you upload your dates on Bandsintown, you’re not only letting your community on the platform know about your upcoming shows, but also through the other platforms that Bandsintown is partnered with. From Alexa to Billboard, here’s the channels (aside from our Widget, Landing Page, and FB Tab), through which you’ll be able to maximize the visibility of your tour dates.

Facebook

Whether you’re sharing new merch designs or updating fans on the status of your new music, Facebook is a go-to way to keep fans in-the-know on all your latest happenings. In addition to the news your team chooses to share with your followers, Facebook and Bandsintown have partnered to save artists time and increase event exposure to bring more fans to your shows.

Once a day, Facebook scans Bandsintown events and populates the Events tab on artists' Facebook Page as part of the Facebook Events service.

It’s important to note that once a show is imported by Facebook and added to the Imported Events section of the Events tab, it’s up to a Facebook Page administrator to approve or edit the event for it to become visible to the public.

Billboard

As of July 2019, Bandsintown and Billboard announced that our extensive trove of live music data (which covers more than 500,000 touring artists) would be featured across Billboard and its portfolio of music sites.

But what does that mean for artists, exactly?

When a fan lands on a Billboard page, they will see the Bandsintown dated embedded, as well as the direct links to purchase tickets. In addition, the Bandsintown Amplified music player will also be featured on pages to help fans discover music.

By driving music discovery and fan engagement on both platforms, this aim to help artists sell more tickets to their shows.

Amazon Alexa

As more and more people turn to voice-controlled assistants like Alexa for their day-to-day needs, it’s become yet another way for artists to market their shows, thanks to a collaboration between Bandsintown and Amazon.

The new Alexa integration easily lets users ask Alexa about upcoming shows at venues in their area and concerts by their favorite artists.

When a live music fan, for example, asks Alexa questions such as “What concerts are happening in Austin tonight?” or “When’s the next Diplo show?” they’ll be provided with the information and/or directed to by tickets.

To ensure your dates are included when fans ask Alexa concert-related questions, make sure to keep your events up-to-date.
