There's no better place to scope out the emerging acts taking over music than at SXSW. With more than 2,200 artists set to perform at hundreds of venues sprawled across Austin, this week-long music festival is a can’t-miss for any lover of live music. With seemingly countless sets to catch between Monday, March 12 and Sunday, March 18, we wanted to make it easier for fans to pick and choose what shows to check out, based on their individual music taste.

Today we launched the first-ever personalized SXSW Guide inside the Bandsintown mobile app, which recommends shows to our 40 million registered users based on their music DNA. The SXSW tile uses data insights to identify and suggest what performances are best suited to users’ taste, based on both the artists they track and those similar. The first of its kind, this Guide is Bandsintown’s landmark foray into festival recommendations—a dynamic way for fans to stay in-the-know while traveling from set to set.
