Direct Message Fans Who RSVP To Your Shows

You’re playing a gig and the venue is packed. Fans are digging your new music and you want to remind them to check out your latest album after they’ve left the show – or even cruise by the merch table on their way out. How do you reach them at the peak moment of engagement?

We’ve got you covered.

We’ve rolled out a great, new way for artists to connect with those fans who RSVP to your shows in Bandsintown, delivering targeted push notifications directly into your fan’s hands. Our research shows that fans want to hear from artists they track and are more likely to take action when you communicate with them personally. For artist managers or publicists, these personalized notifications appear on concert-goers phones as if they’re coming from the band or DJ directly. It’s free to message RSVP’s as often as you like, which is a great way to alert fans of breaking news. This feature has been live on our Manager mobile apps for a short time, but now you can message RSVP’s from within the Facebook app too.

Check out how artists and managers are using this awesome feature below:

Deliver Important Updates on Set Times

Drive Merch Sales

Organize Fan Meet and Greets

Get Started:

STEP 1:  Login to Bandsintown Manager on Facebook and select the specific show date under “Promote” in the drop down menu. Select “Message RSVPs”

STEP 2:  Enter text exactly as you would like it to appear. There is a 140 character limit so be clear and succinct. Take a few minutes to come up with something that will resonate with your fans.  The more personal the message, the more receptive they will be.

STEP 3:  Be sure to verify your message before clicking “Send”. Once clicked, your message will be delivered to everyone who has RSVP’d to your show. No take backsies!

That’s it! You will receive a confirmation that your message was delivered to everyone who RSVP’d to your event.
