New Manager Features: Schedule Announce Times, Event Image Improvements
Do you login to Bandsintown Manager frequently, to input tour logistics so they publish at the right date and time on your tour? Those days are now over. We have rolled out a new scheduling feature to all managers that will allow you to set tour dates to go live at a designated date and time, alerting your fans at the right stage of the tour. This feature has been live on our mobile apps for a short time, but now you can schedule tour announcements from within the Facebook app too.
To get started, simply create an event. You'll notice the new Save For Later button next to Publish Event.
Next, select the publish time for the date. The publish time corresponds to the time zone of the event. Select Schedule to indicate the publish time. Click Skip to save the event as pending (not live on the tab) for manual publishing later.
Scheduled dates are marked as such on the tour dates tab.
If you want to edit the schedule time later, simply click Edit on the tour dates tab to enter the edit event screen, then click "Edit" next to the schedule dialogue at the top, or click "Save For Later" again at the bottom.
Additionally, we're happy to announce that on Facebook you can now upload an image as you are creating an event instead of having to wait and re-edit it (finally!). This feature is also live on mobile and we've gotten great feedback, so it was time to bring it to the desktop.
And one other update... we have moved the "display lineup" feature from the create event page to our global settings page, where app-wide settings are located. Our goal was to make this easier to find and manage for ALL events.
