We’re thrilled to announce that Bandsintown now has over 100,000 artists using our Artist Platform – that’s double the artists we had at the start of 2012! Since we first launched the platform in May 2010, we’ve been relentless in our efforts to build an incredibly useful, socially integrated tool for artists to manage and promote tour dates across all of their pages and profiles online, so fans never miss a live show. It’s in our DNA to incorporate user feedback and work closely with labels, management companies, and artists of all sizes to ensure that despite our growth and the myriad new products and features we’ve added, the platform continues to meet and exceed the needs of our users. Truly a cross-genre platform, our users include Skrillex, Wiz Khalifa, Tegan and Sarah, Alabama Shakes, Ricardo Arjona, David Guetta, Tim McGraw, Justin Bieber, BB King, and Alisa Weilerstein. In fact, more than 50 percent of the artists on Pollstar’s top 50 North American tours in 2011 use Bandsintown, including top touring artist of the last decade Dave Matthews Band. Although they recently went on hiatus, the Foo Fighters are using Bandsintown to catalog their gig history with the Past Events feature, where fans can click to say “I was there”. We’re also moving full steam ahead with fall sweepstakes promotions from top EDM acts like Dada Life and Wolfgang Gartner with Pierce Fulton.
